1. Is Femigami just for women?
Absolutely not! Femigami workshops can be enjoyed by people of all genders who want to explore topics around their bodies and wellbeing; while enjoying a relaxing activity. Participants have ranged from 8 to 80+ years old - no one is too old or young to enjoy Femigami making!

We usually offer feminist origami workshops where we fold an origami vulva, penis, breasts, feminist icon, self-love envelope and affirmation heart.
We can also tailor the workshop around specific celebrations or themes i.e. Stress Awareness Month or Halloween (and adjust the designs we fold accordingly). Feel free to get in touch to chat about any specific requirements or ideas.

5. What are the benefits of Femigami?
It’s all about F.E.E.L.S:
(F)low state: Practising origami can help create a flow experience. Flow requires attention, engaging your senses in the present moment and is proven to increase feelings of wellbeing.
(E)ducation: Femigami has been used by people of all ages to learn about themselves in a fun and accessible way- from parents talking to children about their bodies, to adults exploring topics around their health and wellbeing.
(E)njoyment: As humans, we spend a lot of time in 'doing mode' rather than 'being mode'. Femigami is about embracing 'human-being', not worrying about the outcome and having fun!
(L)anguage: I'm a big fan of knowing the terminology to describe our bodies. Knowing the right words can help keep us well and safe (i.e when speaking to a medical professional) and empower us.
(S)haking stigma: Talking about our bodies might feel uncomfortable or embarrassing. Femigami aims to normalise these conversations so that we can all feel more comfortable and confident in our everyday lives.
